How to Knit the Tomato Top for the Greenhouse Tea Cosy with Video Tutorial

Knitting the tomato top for the Greenhouse Tea Cosy, with a clear video showing how to work the shaping from row 5 onwards.

How to Knit Tomato Tops for the Greenhouse Tea CosyThe Greenhouse Tea Cosy was inspired by the rise in gardening, growing your own, and the joy of spending more time in our gardens. The cosy is designed to look like a little glasshouse, with white structural lines and silver panes, and it includes all the small details gardeners recognise. There’s a single oversized tomato growing out of the ventilation window, pots outside hardening off, a watering can ready for feeding, and a bright sunflower blooming around the back. A little hedgehog hides at the side, on the hunt for slugs.

This help video focuses on one part of the design: the tomato top. Many knitters wonder how the shaping works and how the tomato sits neatly on the cosy. The video shows how to knit the tomato top from row 5 onwards, with a clear demonstration of the little top is formed. If you prefer learning by watching rather than reading charts, this walkthrough makes the process much clearer.
