Description

The Guinea Pig Cushion was designed for the Simply Knitting Magazine issue 221 which went on sale on the 9th February 2022.

The Guinea Pig is a bolster of a cushion or a lumber cushion, in that its more long and narrow than square. I really love the character of guinea pigs and I thought they would make adorable cushions.

They have turned out as quite big cushions at 43cm long and 26cm wide, if this were the size of really guinea pigs you'd need a much bigger cage!

What is great about these bolsters is that they can be made in any animal colour yarn. They can be made in Aran yarn or eyelash yarn if you'd prefer a long haired guinea pig.

I love their little feet with the little finger like digits. So adorable. They are really loveable cushions that look so cute but are really practical and comfy too.

Cuddle up and get cosy with a cute, giant sized guinea pig.

What you will need to make the pattern

A pair of 5.00mm needles
A pair of 4.00mm needles
2 stitch markers

For Short Haired version you need
114g King Cole, Comfort Aran, Truffle (3329)

For Long haired version
136g King Cole, Moments DK, Ginger 1876
82g King Cole, Big Value DK, Rust 3029

For Both
20g King Cole, Pricewise DK, Blush (149)
A Pair of Brown 24mm wide Safety Eyes
