Description

The Hare tea cosy was inspired by spring and March hares. It's that time of year when hares are really active looking for the perfect mate.

I have knitted the hare in Stylecraft Special DK Mocha to make a brown hare, and then he has highlights of Dark Brown. The main body of the cosy is knitted in a textured stitch to give the impression of the hare's fur.

Hares are known for having big feet and legs, so most of the cosy is given up to legs.

I love his big ears and they are positioned on his head to look alert as if he is listen out for something.

The hare tea cosy is perfect for people who are always haring about.
