Animated Tea Cosy

The Lucky Leprechaun tea cosy was a response to a customer request for an Irish theme tea cosy.

I love the idea of a little irish imp, a cheekier version of a woodland fairy folk, so I gave the Leprechaun a cheeky smile.

This lucky Leprechaun is sat on the top of his crock of gold, maybe he's counting it? I thought if the Leprechaun has this much gold, that his clothes would be very fine, and I have given him golden buttons and a gold buckle on his hat embroidered with Anchor Artiste Metallic Gold yarn.

On the front and back of the crock of gold, is a shamrock which is of course the symbol of Ireland and Saint Patrick.

I really love the leprechaun, he's so cute. I think it's the beard that makes him so adorable. He's a pleasure to knit.

Catch yourself a Lucky Leprechaun sat on top of his crock of gold!

  • is made from double thickness yarn for extra insulation
