Description

The American Eagle Chocolate Orange Cosy is a bold little design full of pride and strength. I’ve knitted the featured version in Stylecraft Special DK Citron, which gives it a bright, sunny, patriotic feel. It can be knitted in natural bald eagle colours too, but I’m only showing the Citron version because it really pops and suits the theme beautifully.

The cosy fits a standard Chocolate Orange and only uses around 20g of yarn, so it’s a quick, satisfying make. The pattern is three pages long and easy to follow, with all the shaping laid out clearly. It’s a fun project if you enjoy character knits with personality, especially if you’re looking for a bald eagle knitting pattern or an American‑themed cosy.

This one is perfect for the 4th of July and Independence Day celebrations. The bald eagle is such a strong symbol of freedom and national pride, and it makes a cheerful little centrepiece for parties, gifts or just for fun.

What you will need to make the pattern

4.00 mm, UK size 8 or US size 6 Knitting needles,
20g Stylecraft Special DK Citron,
Stuffing.
