Wedding Couple Tea Cosy

Earlier this year, I had the joy of knitting a bespoke tea cosy to celebrate a couple on their wedding day. Commissioned by one of their guests as a heartfelt gift, the cosy was lovingly crafted using reference photos of the pair and I waited until after their big day to share it, hoping they had a truly wonderful celebration filled with love and laughter.

The couple are enthusiastic swing dancers, so we chose to capture them mid-dance in a pose full of rhythm and connection; hands clasped, leading each other through the movement.

With a little creative guesswork on their outfits, the bride wears a flowing white gown edged in gold to match her elegant gold fascinator, and the groom stands tall in a classic dark blue suit. It’s always such a joy to knit something so personal and meaningful, and this cosy felt like a beautiful way to commemorate a magical moment in their lives.

A first dance, forever stitched.
