Description

The Lancia Montecarlo was a bespoke tea cosy knitting pattern design that a lady had asked me to design. She wanted a small knitted model of the Lancia Montecarlo on the top and a chequered flag as a nod towards motor racing.

It's turned out to be a bold and striking tea cosy with chevrons running around it, and the chequered flag on top. Both these patterns are worked in intarsia.

The little Lancia Montecarlo on the top is knitted and assembled before stitching to the top of the cosy.

The Montecarlo tea cosy is a perfect for people who love the classic motor from Lancia.

This old classic could be racing to a teapot near you!

This Tea Cosy:

  • is made from double thickness yarn for extra insulation
  • fits a medium sized teapot that holds 6 to 8 cups or 2 pints
