Bespoke Black Labrador Tea Cosy

It's always lovely to knit someone's beloved pet, and this time I was knitting someone's treasured black Labrador that had sadly passed on.

Labradors are such lovely gentle dogs and I wanted to capture that in the tea cosy.

I was asked to make this tea cosy for a large sized teapot.

The dog is standing, as she was in the photo. It looks like she had been called to stand still for the photo whilst out enjoying a walk. I thought it would be nice to have her standing on grass because it always looks a natural colour to anchor the composition to the ground.

The dog was completely black and had a pink and blue collar. The colours of the colour and the grass really pop against the darkness of the dogs form.

It was such a lovely tea cosy to make because they are such a special breed of dog.
