Description

The Sloth Cowl was designed for the Simply Knitting Magazine issue 211 which goes on sale on the 29th April 2021.

Inspired by my daughter's love of sloths, I designed a sloth cowl. She loves a cowl because they are cosy and warm and get in the way less than a scarf. The hugging and hanging nature of sloths made them the ideal animal for a neck warmer.

He's knitted in Stylecraft Special DK and the main part of the cowl is knitted in Mushroom. It's such a lovely shade.

To give a fur like texture the cowl is knitted in star stitch. It's also quite a dense stich so that adds to the insulating qualities.

The face and tail are knitted separately and sewn on afterwards.

The sloth cowl is super cute and a fun knit to make. Perfect for people who love sloth and super for keeping your neck warm.

You can find the knitting pattern for the Sloth Cowl in Simply Knitting Magazine issue 211. The pattern will be available to buy direct from TeaCosyFolk on 29th November 2021.
