Pigs in Blankets Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern

The Pigs in Blankets tea cosy was designed for the Simply Knitting Magazine issue 232 which went on sale on the 1st December 2022.

I love pigs and being a veggie I think this interpretation of pigs in blankets is far more appealing than the other sort.

This Christmas tea cosy has four cute pigs all cuddled up together in a cosy in a Christmassy blanket. Snug as bug in rugs, rather than the other thing that pigs are known to be happy in. I love the way their little curly tails peep through the blanket.

The blanket is knitted in strips and then the long strips are sewn together, so there are no charts or intarsia to knit, it's really simple. Some of the squares on the blanket have also been embroidered to add interest. The colours of the blankets are bright and Christmas inspired, but you could use any colours you like. It's great for yarn stash busting.
