Welsh Lady Tea Cosy Knitting Pattern

The Welsh Lady tea cosy is a beautiful tea cosy of a lady in the national dress for Wales. She's a vision of tradition and Welsh emblems and very well dressed.

She's wearing a black skirt with a white frill at the bottom. About her waist she has a little black and white striped apron that is embellished with a love heart. She's wearing a red top, with a little white shawl to keep her shoulders warm. And in true tradition, she's wearing the classic big black hat over a little frilly mop cap. The hat can be removed revealing her mop cap.

I think she has been in the garden, because she's carrying a fresh leek, and behind her there is a daffodil. You would swap these over if you wanted to so that she was carrying daffodils.
