Description

This was another bespoke tea cosy that I was asked to make as a Christmas gift. I was given a couple of photographs and was asked to make a tea cosy of a man dressing in the attire of House of Lords robes, with his two labradors either side. One of the dogs always wants to play ball. The brief also included a glass of red wine.

Ask you can probably guess this tea cosy had its challenges.

What I love about the tea cosy, is how much the robes remind me of Father Christmas, which appropriately gives the tea cosy a warm festive feel.

The dogs really make the tea cosy look cute, and having one with his ball gives them a sense of character and makes the composition look animated.

Oh Lordy! I was asked to make a cosy of a peerage to insulate their beverage.

  • is made from double thickness yarn for extra insulation
